The Oak is a symbol of strength and longevity. The oak tree was held sacred by many cultures throughout history.

The oak brings to mind childhood memories of these towering giants, whose leaves were one of the easier ones to draw (especially compared with the maple!), and whose acorns were like a mass of treasure for the taking to line up in window sills, or make crafts out of in the fall.
